In a major relief for SUV buyers, JSW MG Motor India has announced a price cut across its ICE SUV lineup following the government’s new GST 2.0 reform. The price reduction applies to the Astor, Hector, and Gloster, effective from September 7, 2025.
GST 2.0 Benefits Passed On
According to MG Motor, the brand is fully passing on the GST reduction benefits to its customers.
Here’s the revised price benefit across models:

Sharing the development, Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India, said:
“The government’s decision to rationalise GST is a good move that addresses affordability challenges and builds consumer sentiment. By extending the full benefit across our SUV portfolio, we want customers to experience the immediate value of this change.”

With the festive season approaching, MG expects this move to further boost demand and attract new buyers. The price cut not only makes models like the Astor, Hector, and Gloster more attractive but also strengthens customer trust by ensuring direct benefits are passed on.
Industry Trend
MG now joins other automakers like Tata Motors, Mahindra, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi, who have also rolled out similar price cuts after GST 2.0.
