The Witcher Season 4,

Netflix confirms October 30 release for the fantasy epic’s fourth chapter, with Hemsworth stepping into Geralt’s boots and Laurence Fishburne joining the cast.

Netflix has officially announced that The Witcher Season 4 will premiere on October 30, 2025, unveiling the first footage of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia. Hemsworth takes over the iconic monster hunter role from Henry Cavill, who portrayed Geralt for the series’ first three seasons.

The upcoming season picks up after the dramatic conclusion of Season 3, with Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri separated and forced to navigate a war-torn Continent teeming with political intrigue, dark magic, and dangerous foes. Their survival hinges on embracing the unlikely groups they encounter, and on whether destiny will reunite them once again.

Season 4 also introduces Laurence Fishburne as Regis, a fan-favorite character from Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels and The Witcher video games. Regis, a barber-surgeon with a mysterious past, becomes a key ally to Geralt during the events of Baptism of Fire.

Returning cast members include Anya Chalotra (Yennefer), Freya Allan (Ciri), and Joey Batey (Jaskier). The series continues to be executive produced by Steve Gaub, Matt O’Toole, Mike Ostrowski, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, Platige Films’ Tomek Baginski and Jarek Sawko, along with Hivemind Content’s Jason Brown and Sean Daniel.

With Hemsworth stepping into one of fantasy television’s most iconic roles, anticipation is high as fans prepare to return to the Continent this fall.
