A shocking incident from Turkey has set social media buzzing after CCTV footage showed a CEO throwing a flower pot at his employee during a heated office argument.
The viral clip features Hakki Alkan, CEO of Turkish tech news outlet ShiftDelete, angrily hurling a flower pot filled with gravel at staff member Samet Jankovic. Reports suggest the clash erupted over disagreements about content to be published.
The footage sparked massive outrage online, with netizens slamming the company’s toxic workplace culture. Many called it a reminder of how not to handle professional conflicts.
Employee Takes Legal Action
Jankovic has since filed a case against Alkan after obtaining a medical report. Writing on X, he alleged years of unpaid overtime, workplace harassment, and unfair treatment. He added that his recent raise was even cancelled, saying he now plans to continue his career independently once the case is resolved.

CEO Issues Apology
Facing backlash, Alkan released a public apology and even shared the CCTV footage with investigators. He admitted to losing his temper but denied that the act was premeditated:
“Publishing is a 24-hour business, and stress levels are very high. I lost control and regret my actions. Thankfully, no serious injury occurred. I will work to create a more peaceful workplace.”
